Dark Red Kidney Beans

Kidney Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are indigenous to Central and South America. The Kidney Bean, also known as Red Bean, with its dark red skin is named for its visual resemblance to a kidney. The beans are rich in flavour and an excellent source of protein and iron. The skin is a little tougher than most beans.
